Hope you've had a wonderful week and if it's been anything like mine, you're probably running to keep up! I wanted to say how very thankful I am for your prayers! I felt them, and know the Lord is moving!
God gave us a fabulously sunny day, so an abundance of people were at the show & surrounding areas, all within earshot!
Brian, his Mum & family enjoyed themselves and he sang along to Timeless, which was well received. His lyrics speak of seeking God...so I do believe the Lord is drawing him.
Co-workers are also being changed, visibly! Some almost hostile are now smiling and engaging in conversation! I'm so happy. Truly an act of God!
The concert was fun, slotted for 20 minutes, which with chat between equates to 3.5 songs. But they liked what they heard and after my 3rd song, asked me to sing 3 more! I asked the crowd if anyone was going through a hard time. That's part of being human, cause we're all pretty much going through something...so where do you find hope?
Then I told them all about Jesus!!
I followed with Yeah, That's Me, Frodo, Fare Thee Well and finished with "Our God is Mighty!
Greg, the MC also works with addicts, said he was so glad I spoke and sang about Jesus because so many people are struggling. Talked with folks in the audience too and Roddy took video, so when I get time, I'll post on YouTube.
And despite the years of struggle with my singing voice, when God sends me out, He uses this broken vessel and makes beauty from ashes!!
Oh, as I've been writing this, I learned that Brian's brother Steven just passed away. He was 42 and the family is in shock and grieving. Please lift these precious people up in prayer, for God's comfort and most importantly, for His saving grace.
Thank you so very much for your prayers and kind words. I know we're all dealing with many things, so I truly appreciate you partnering with me on this Gospel spreading journey.
One other thing I ask for prayer on is the Novel, for time to complete it and God's voice to be heard clearly through it.
May our great, gracious, fearsome, wonderful, mighty Jesus hold you close, lift your head, show you His glory and remind you how very precious you are in His kingdom!
