Dear colleagues,
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) invites you to join us on Friday, 13 September, on the webinar "Working Together to Prevent Suicide", to mark this year’s World Suicide Prevention Day.
The virtual seminar will feature speakers from Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago presenting experiences on suicide prevention in different contexts. Updated inforamation on the situation of suicide in the Region of the Americas will be also provided in the session.
World Suicide Prevention Day is celebrated annually on September 10th to raise awareness that suicide can be prevented. Suicide and suicide attempts impact entire families, communities and societies; and everyone, in different fields of work, can contribute to prevent it. PAHO will continue disseminating resources aimed to suicide prevention throughout the month, as World Mental Health Day, observed on 10 October, will be focused on the same theme.
