Meet PUC's Disabilities Coordinator
Pacific Union College coordinates disability support services for students with disabilities. All students requesting reasonable accommodations must register with the disabilities coordinator and may be required to submit documentation of disability from a health care professional. All accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis since functional limitations can vary uniquely.
If you are a student with disabilities and you believe that you may require any reasonable accommodation(s), please contact PUC's coordinator (contact information) below at the earliest opportunity. Those with documented disabilities, diagnosed by a qualified professional, and disclosed to the coordinator for student disability support services, may request and be accorded reasonable accommodations that will allow them to participate in the institution’s programs and services.
Hello!
I am Judy Cushman, the Coordinator for the Disabilities Program at Pacific Union College. I’m thrilled that you have chosen PUC as your college! I want your time here to be successful and fulfilling.
In my role, I work with a variety of students, first-year students through seniors. I provide accommodations (extra time on tests, testing in a quiet setting, notes for class, audiobooks, etc.) for students that have an identified disability. I also help students who think they might have a disability through a process involving some of the following tools: a structured interview, reading/writing screenings, or a full psycho-educational assessment.
Referrals can also be made to either Counseling Services and/or Health Services, as just two of several resources available to PUC students.
I look forward to meeting you. I will be available throughout new student Orientation. Or, feel free to contact me before arriving on campus at jcushman@puc.edu or (707) 965-7080.
