Jeremiah
 
 Thank God It's September! Summer is great, but I like a routine since most of my life is not in my control. Many of us are entering a season of reconnecting and re-assimilating our lives and regimens. Our new worship series from the book of Jeremiah will challenge us as the world tries to get us to reconnect to our TVs, our overly busy school schedules, and our insatiable appetite for sports and entertainment... Family Ministries


If you have youngsters from Kindergarten to 5th grade please have them attend Sunday School at 10 AM on Sunday Mornings. Their classrooms have moved and they have some challenging new material that they will be covering. The teachers are very anxious to make an impact on our youth.


           "If you can't sleep, don't count sheep. Talk to the Shepherd."



                                                       Faithful Friends of ESUMC is a ministry providing personal visits as an agent of God's love and care to those who are in a senior living community or are home-bound. Faithful Friends keep shut-ins connected.  If you know someone that needs a visit or if you yourself would like to be a Faithful Friend, please contact the church office.

  
                                                           

We are starting a new Prayer Chain opportunity. To further enhanse our faithful  prayer group that meets on Tuesdays mornings, we are starting an Email/Text prayer chain. This is for immediate joys or concerns of our congregation or friends. So if you know someone who has an emergency and needs prayer support, you can contact us and we will send out an immediate prayer request. This would also be true if you have an important joy that you would like prayer support for. With immediate prayer requests going out, people will feel the urgency of our prayers. Please contact the office or put a note in the tear-off on Sunday mornings, if you would like to be one of the prayer warriors.
 
ESUMC Board Notes
I would like to introduce to you all of the members of your board:  and to let you know if you have questions, you can contact any of them anytime.
Members are:
Phil Clark, Brett Hash, Jacob Barrows, AJ Plichta, Whitney Byrd, Mark Randall, Sandy Downum, Ladena Downum, Jonathan Griesse.

The board met earlier this month and based on the feedback from the laity, we approved  $13,000 upgrade to the video and audio system in the sanctuary targeting completion the end of September. The next meeting will be September 23rd  at 6:30 and I wanted to let you know that everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. The next meeting will be focused on the upcoming 2020 budget.
