October’s special menu stars our take on a classic street food favorite: grilled chicken shawarma. This version is made with boneless, skinless thigh meat, seasoned with sumac, cardamom and cumin and served with a vibrant tahini lemon sauce. Enjoy with a bulgur salad; this ancient whole grain (dating all the way back to 9000 BC) has a hearty texture and nutty flavor. We toss it with preserved lemons, sliced green Castelvetrano olives, fresh mint and plump golden raisins. Complete your meal with a refreshing spinach salad and then end on a sweet note with a financier teacake with pistachios for dessert.
