Open choral workshop 
Saturday 28 September
Explore the rich repertoire of British folksong in choral settings, in this workshop day led by top choral director Ben Parry.  We shall be singing from Folk-songs for Choirs volume 1, edited by John Rutter, together with unpublished settings by Ben Parry, and sea songs arranged by Alan Drake, conductor of Rogate Choral Society.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Petersfield Musical Festival will be held at 6.30 pm on Thursday 19 September in St Laurence's Church Hall, Station Road, Petersfield GU32 3ED. (Please note that the time and venue are different from last year).

The meeting is open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend. Friends of the Festival and singers subscribing to the Festival chorus are entitled to vote. Please come and join us to share your views about the Festival.

Festival of Young Composers

Do you know a talented young composer? The Festival of Young Composers, run by the Michael Hurd Memorial Fund, offers cash prizes, expert guidance and performance opportunities to young composers in three age groups: 14 and under, 17 and under, and 19 and under. Scores must be submitted in early December and the music must be performed live in front of an audience at the adjudication day on Saturday 1 February.  Download entry forms and guidelines here.
