Blessed be he who has found his solitude, not the solitude pictured in painting or poetry, but his own, unique, predestined solitude. Blessed be he who knows how to suffer! Blessed be he who bears the magic stone in his heart. To him comes destiny, from him comes authentic action.

- Hermann Hesse

Dear,

On behalf of David Van Reybrouck I'd like to invite you to be part of the upcoming edition of our Full Moon gathering, Full Moon Focus #4: In Stone. We will start with a live drawing, made by visual artist Filip Berte. From there writer and poet Peter Vermeersch, climber and writer Mark Sebille and me, performing artist Nick Steur, will guide you through a full moon evening, not yet set in stone.

bring your magic stone (with a story)
We all pick up a stone sometimes. But why this one? And does it still carry your memories? When you bring your own magic stone and share that stone story with us, you'll receive a 5€ reduction on your entrance fee!

We hope to see and meet you Saturday,
Nick Steur
Since 2015, stones are forming an integral part of Belgian visual artist and architect Filip Berte’s ongoing project Un-Home / Moving Stones (see image). With this project, both by means of a camera obscura in the form of a stone, as well as by the act of drawing, Berte critically questions the mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion of newcomers to Europe. For Full Moon Focus #4, two stones - which he recently brought back from a ‘liminal journey’ in Romania - will be the subject for a live observational drawing on the spot. The process of drawing is Berte’s open invitation for an audience to be his temporary guests on a journey of slow unraveling and revealing of some of the (meta-)narratives departing from two stones. www.instagram.com/filipberte
