Earlier this year we invited the 700 plus members of the UKBlues Awards nomination panel to take part in a survey aimed at helping us at the UKBlus Federation make the UKBlues Awards more open, more attractive and better supported.
Our sincere thanks go to all those who responded and for their many, varied and useful comments and suggestions.
Having analysed all the responses received we are very pleased that a very considerable majority of respondents wanted to see the UKBlues Awards continue and felt that they were very worthwhile. They also felt that the Awards should be held annually and that there should be a presentation event staged each year.
It is clear that the general feeling was that the number of categories of Award should be reduced and that the nomination process in 2019 was overly complicated.
The Board of the UKBlues Federation has reviewed the conclusions to be drawn from the survey responses and we are close to announcing details about the UKBlues Awards for 2020 which will incorporate and reflect many of the suggestions and recommendations made in the responses to the survey.
When we invited participation in the survey we also announced three prizes which we would offer to participants picked at random.
We are very pleased to announce that the following prize winners have been selected:
