Summer 2019 - Art and Social Activism

It has certainly been a busy summer for The Opioid Spoon Project, as well as for my own Art Practice. We started the season off with the Honor Signature Spoon Tour visiting 10 states and 15 major cities, and carried on with a multitude of Opioid Spoon Project related work.

The summer  went on to include several art exhibitions showcasing my work. All in all, an exciting and positive period for The Opioid Spoon Project - many new faces and friends -  as well as a hugely productive period in terms of
my own studio practice.

The OSP takes over the NASDAQ Jumbotron for Overdose Awareness Day
September is Recovery Month
and leading up to it is Overdose Awareness day on August 31st.
The day is primarily a day to remember all the precious lives lost to the opioid epidemic.
We decided to go big... literally with one of the largest screens in
Time Square.

The Honor Signature Tour
The Tour kicked off on May 11th in Marlborough MA and after 15 cities and 10 states we ended in Philly on June 8th.  The tour was well received and allowed families who have lost lived ones to the opioid crisis to memorialize their names on the Spoon.
