Teens and Vaping

The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is an organization with a mission to transform how the nation addresses addiction.  They have a wealth of information that may be helpful for parents and families who are trying to find a way to talk about or understand this topic.  This article gives information about a topic that is relevant for teens in our area, vaping.  Please look it over and inform yourself with information about this topic so that you can have conversations with your children about the dangers of this activity.

This graphic organizer along with their visual time maps, completed last week, will help them throughout the writing process. This summative assessment will be a multi-draft project as students will have ample opportunities for revision. Students’ writing will be evaluated based on focus, descriptive language (sensory detail), and clarity. Our next unit centers around short stories, and students will evaluate characterization and conflict in connection to theme.
