You can read my post on Sew My Style 2019 for a quick recap from earlier this year. It gives a broad look at what the project is and how the challenge works. For 2020, I have a few ideas to expand beyond this!
I'm now actively recruiting makers of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, ages (18+), and genders to join me on next year's leadership team to help me craft a new year's worth of challenges that embrace the diversity of the sewing community!
The commitment isn't overwhelming. Typically we've had monthly patterns offered to participants at a small discount and leaders promote the patterns by suggesting fabrics, showing off hacks, doing sew alongs, and the like in order to keep our participants engaged. Ideally, each leader will only have to do this 2x during the year. The leaders will also help decide which pattern companies to work with in order to keep our mission consistent.
