THANK YOU TO ALL WHO MADE
NOTHING CHEEZY
THE CHEESIEST TICKETED EXPERIENCE IN LA

We have had a hell of a couple months celebrating and mocking the selfie culture of the most narcissistic city on earth. And we're grateful to the artists and event producers with whom we've collaborated, who made sure, first and foremost, to have fun with it. All of our partners were good sports with the theme, from our pizza partners at Delicious, Purgatory, and Prime who provided incredible pizza to our guests while both satirizing and upholding pizza traditions, to our cannabis partners at Cut & Dry who filled piñatas with joints and covered dancers in marinara sauce. Same with PBR and Ham on Everything, with their cheesy opening night shenanigans.

We're also thankful to the press who came out to the show and took the time to read into its jokes (see some of the pieces below), and the hordes of guests who bought tickets and brought their friends, children, or colleagues, and left us humbling messages and reviews.

But most of all we are thankful to our artists for taking this wild ride with us. To the painters, sculptors, and photographers who filled the front room with original, cheesy works of art, and the designers who made brand new merchandise for the show with Pizzaboyzzz: thanks for turning our industry inside joke into a cultural moment for us.

In particular, to Pizzaboyzzz, Cheap Slasher Films, Utopia.US, Nina Palomba, Butchovision, TOFU, Berk, Gentle Thrills, Baker's Son, Anta52, Future Fantasy Delight, Balloonski and Deladeso, we are honored at your hard work and patience in pulling off this conceptual monstrosity. Without you all, this show was just a cheeky conversation in an art gallery office, but with your unbelievable and magnetic art installations, it became an immersive wonderland full of coy, tongue-in-cheek photo opps that we'll never forget. We can safely say that the 13 of you were the most important part of our 2019.

Finally, we'd like to thank Meow Wolf for putting so much faith and time into this show, Hijinx for slaying it in PR once again, and the Bloody Gums team for helping us manage it from across the country. And to all of the staff and helpers who donated their time to the show (looking at you, Dino, Kim, Helen, Mama Jay, Fusion and Francesca!), we hope you know it was impossible without you and we plan to get you back bigtime.

This one was fun and overly ambitious, and we can't wait to see what everyone does next. Relive the last few weeks with us by scrolling down, and see what's next.

We also want to give a huge shout out to @jamsus who shot, edited, and scored every video throughout the Nothing Cheezy show run, and @williecaptureslight who shot everything on video and film photography since we started the buildout. Also our artist @berkvisual who berkified the Deladeso and Future Fantasy Delight videos and inserted them into his analog installation. All of those below.

JOIN US SEPTEMBER 21ST OR 22ND FOR
TO LIVE & DI(N)E IN LA

HOSTED BY DRUNKEN DEVIL

We've still got a few months left in 2019 once we tear down our pizza kitchen, and we starting by celebrating the Two Year Anniversary of To Live and Di(n)e in LA, an acclaimed immersive dining experience that began at the Think Tank in our last location. Guests sit down to eat with the ghosts of the most infamous figures in Los Angeles’ true crime history at this special two-night event, coming face-to-face with Elizabeth Short, better known as the Black Dahlia, and Dr. George Hodel, long suspected of being her murderer. Other "celebrity appearances" include Harvey Glatman, infamously nicknamed the “Glamour Girl Slayer” for his harrowing methods of killing aspiring young models in the late 1950’s, and Judy Ann Dull, his first victim, as well as Susan Atkins, one of the most prominent members of the Manson Family, and Charles Manson himself. You'll also meet Richard Ramirez, also known as the “Night Stalker,” who terrorized suburban Los Angeles for years.

Each course is based on different figure and different era, with thematically appropriate cocktails paired to each dish. In between courses, guests will experience dark, thematic performances that help guide the the story. We're happy to kick off LA's spooky season and announce our gallery as the secret location for this private experience, and Drunken Devil has allowed us to extend the invitation for a couple of the remaining seats – of a limited 35 – to our audience. See more information at the ticket link below.

ON NOVEMBER 22-24, ATTEND THE 13TH ANNUAL
DESIGNERCON

THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HOLIDAY EVENT FOR ARTISTS

Since we joined the core team for DCon last year in the big move to Anaheim, we've been growing rapidly. There's a whole bunch of shit we wish that we could announce, but you'll have to trust us that this year is going to be even crazier than 2018. The Think Tank has been serving as the Head of Partnerships & Programming and we're really stoked to share with you what we've been building. There's no better event in the world to do your Holiday shopping if you're into streetwear, designer toys, bespoke art, graffiti, comics, or cartoons.

If you're interested in partnering for 2019, please check out our sponsor deck and reply to this email with your inquiry.
