Hi <<First name>>

Welcome to another sporadic email from Neotists to let you know about a few upcoming events and to remind you that we exist. As always, there's loads to get through and if you want to get in touch you can hit reply with something you're involved with, or just to remind me that you exist. It comes straight to my inbox. Magic.

News

St Neots Festival

We are very pleased to announce that there will be a festival of Music, Arts and Unexpected Delights in Priory Park, St Neots next summer!!

Ok, that's enough exclamation marks (not really!) but it is really exciting news. Bringing big names and new experiences to our town in as environmentally friendly a way as possible is going to be a huge challenge, but one that will be worth it. Not having to travel to go to an amazing event is going to be the icing on the cake. We'll get to invite people to come to us for a change.

It's going to take a massive amount of support from every single one of you and as many of the residents of our town as possible. We'll need help to organise, make, build, promote, inform, attend, volunteer and co-ordinate everything. We're currently looking at as many funding opportunities as possible - the more funding, the more we can achieve.

If you'd like to get involved (let's face it, who wouldn't?) then don't forget to sign up on the website. Business partners are also very much needed so please do spread the word. So far we've been asked to book Bon Jovi. Not sure that's gonna happen, but let's aim for the stars!

Our thanks to Neotist and recent graduate Curtis Reeve for designing the identity for the festival, and Richard Slade for developing the website.

5 Questions for Creatives

Once you're a Neotist you can opt to take five questions to let us know a bit more about you and we can share it with the world. This time it's the turn of TV producer Kim Rossiter, who has worked on some pretty awesome shows, including First Dates. If you'd like a turn get in touch.

Meet up

Our meet ups are pretty relaxed, as they're a chance for other Neotists to meet each other in person and get to know each other. However, feedback has suggested that some of you would much prefer a more structured event where there may be a theme or goal for the evening such as discussing a relevant topic e.g. becoming a freelance business/getting support for your art/accessing local culture, etc, or even having a speaker or a form of a surgery where you can get access to experienced professionals. Come along to the next one and help shape future events. Our thanks to Neotist and recent graduate Carli Hall for designing the event posters.

Tuesday 24 September @ The Ale Taster from 8pm.

Winter Craft and Gift Fair

The popular event is back once again at St Neots Museum and they are taking submissions for work to sell. Get in touch with the organisers asap if you're interested and don't forget to spread the word with those who might be keen. They also stock local work all year round so this could be a great chance to get your work in front of the buying public just in time for that silly spending season.

The set up for the exhibition will be over the week beginning Monday 14th October so the museum will need your craft and art works on or before that date.

NB: The museum is currently preparing their exhibition programme for 2020 and have two spaces available for artists at present:
25th March - 25th April 2020
12th September - 19th October 2020

Aaaaand that's a wrap. It's always a lovely surprise when you hit reply to let me know of your news, anything you'd like to see in a future update, even just to say hi, so don't be shy. Hit reply.

Till the next time... it's goodbye from me.
