Abstract Submissions due October 6th

 
We invite interested students, faculty, and educators in all STEM fields to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Student abstracts will be given preference.

Benefits to submitting an abstract for presentation:
  • PUBLICATION: Accepted poster and oral presentation abstracts will be published in the 2019 New Mexico Journal of Science
  • EXPERIENCE: Gain valuable conference presentation experience 
  • PRIZES: Student participants in the Poster Session will have a chance to win cash prizes in undergraduate and graduate categories.

Women in Technology Scholarship from Adobe Research


Provides a $10,000 award paid once to a female student currently enrolled as an undergraduate (2nd year or above) or masters student at a university for the 2019-2020 academic year.  Applicants must be majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Application Deadline: Sep 27     

WiSTEM2D Scholars Award Program (Graduates & PostDocs)


Provides $150,000 over three years to fund one woman per STEM2D discipline who has completed her advanced degree, who is working as an assistant professor (or global equivalent faculty position) and who is not yet tenured at an accredited university.
Application Period: Sep 3 - Oct 3

VentureWell Faculty Grants

VentureWell Faculty Grants provide up to $30,000 to help fund and support faculty with innovative ideas to create new or transform existing courses and programs to help students develop novel, STEM-based inventions and gain the necessary entrepreneurial skills needed to bring these ideas to market.

NM EPSCoR Event
Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Its target audience is researchers who have little to no prior computational experience, and its lessons are domain-specific, building on learners' existing knowledge to enable them to quickly apply skills learned to their own research.
