 Roundhay declares a Climate Emergency

Leeds City Council declared a Climate Emergency in March 2019.

REAP is leading the challenge to reduce the emissions of Roundhay.  In declaring the Roundhay Climate Emergency, REAP want to help the residents of Roundhay understand the importance of reducing their carbon footprint as well as the impact they can have on their own lives
Come to September’s Oakwood Farmer’s Market to find out how you can get involved in the Roundhay Climate Emergency and fill in a pledge card of actions.

Come over and see what the Roundhay Craftivists are stitching on their fabric pledge footprints. Join in and stitch your own. Chat about the challenges of reducing our plastic use and trying to be more carbon conscious. Together we can share ideas and solutions. www.climateemergency.uk/blog/leeds/

REAP is adopting the old phone box on Lidgett Park Road by St Edmund’s Church. Get in touch with your ideas for how it might be used. Community information? Library?

REAP Gardening Group

The REAP Gardening Group will be at the market as usual harvesting and weeding our Oakwood Edible Bed. Come over and try some of the fruit and veg, chat about producing our own food and join our growing community.

 The Big Banana Garden

Progress is being made on the Banana Bed, follow the link to see what is being done and find out about working parties, if you would like to help.
