The Diversity & Inclusion committee's mission is to promote diversity and community within our school. Everyone is welcome to attend the first meeting this Tuesday.

 PFC Meeting

The Parent Faculty Club (PFC) is our school’s parent teacher organization. We’re all members and there are no membership fees. School events, issues, and the budget are discussed every month and we would like this to be your opportunity to have your voice heard! We’d love to see you at our first meeting of the year on Tuesday. Food and childcare are provided.

 Picture Day 

Wednesday, September 11

Big smiles, everyone! Wednesday is School Picture Day. Each class and child will have their photo taken. Families will have an opportunity to purchase the photos if you choose. You should have received an order form from your child's teacher if you wish to order photos in advance, or you can order online using Picture Day ID BY419123Q0

 Certified Public Accountant Needed 

The Parent Faculty Club is looking for a CPA to conduct our annual PFC audit. If you can recommend someone please contact the PFC Treasurer  at treasurer@harveymilk.com. Thank you!

 Library Visit Volunteers 

Every Thursday, Ms. Sarah will be walking classes to Eureka Valley Library and we are looking for volunteers to help walk there. If you would like to join your child's class on their monthly visits the schedule can be found here

 Annual Giving Campaign Kick Off! 

We’re excited to kick off the Annual Giving Campaign, the PFC's biggest fundraiser of the year! Help us reach our goal of 100% family participation and $225,000 by December 31.  Funds raised by the Annual Giving Campaign pay for art and music enrichment, field trips, and essential school staff, including a classroom teacher and a reading specialist.

When large group notifications must go out, SFUSD may contact families by phone, email, and text message (or any combination of these) using a system called SchoolMessenger. SFUSD and your school use SchoolMessenger in order to let you know about emergency situations, remind you about school events, update you on your child’s attendance, and more.
 

Please make sure your contact information is correct, especially if you have moved or changed your phone number recently. 

 Student Site Council Meeting 

Tuesday, September 17, Room 205
5:30-6:30pm


 
The School Site Council (SSC) is the major part of the overall decision-making structure at our school and they meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Participants are elected by their peers (parents, principal, teachers, and other school staff) to represent the members of the school community. Their primary role is to guide the Site Planning Process to ensure that the needs of all students are specifically addressed in the School Site Plan. In addition, the School Site Council oversees the site-based budgeting of categorical funds.

Everyone is invited to participate in this decision-making process at SSC meetings. If you'd like to attend but need help with childcare please email.

 Garden Work Day 

Sunday, September 22, 10am - 1pm

Everyone is welcome to have fun planting, decorating, cleaning up and helping with general maintenance projects. Getting your hands dirty in our garden is a great way to help beautify our school, and a fun, therapeutic activity to share with your family. 
 

We will have plants, light snacks, and all the tools and materials we will need on hand.
