Welcoming Kerri & Carrie
The UW MBA Consortium welcomed two new staff members to the team this summer, Kerri Patton (pictured on the left) and Carrie Ottum (pictured on the right).
Kerri Patton, who started at the end of June, works as an instructional designer as part of our iDocs group in the UW-Eau Claire College of Business. Kerri earned a B.A. in both German and English literature from UW-Eau Claire. After college, she spent a year teaching English in Dortmund, Germany, via a Fulbright Scholarship. She then worked five years for a leadership development firm headquartered in Minneapolis, before teaching German in high school for the next 10 years. In May 2019, she earned a master's degree in Educational Technology and a graduate certificate in Online Education from Boise State University. Kerri is married to Brad, who also works at UW-Eau Claire, and the couple has two daughters. When not at work, you can find her traveling, adventuring with her family, puttering in her garden, tinkering with stained glass, reading, baking, and watching BBC mini-series!
Carrie Ottum, who started May, works as the Outreach Program Manager in the UW-Eau Claire College of Business. She assists with marketing, social media, and communications for the UW MBA Consortium. Carrie has a B.A. in Recreation Management from UW-La Crosse. Prior to joining the College of Business, she worked for municipal park and recreation departments in Onalaska, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and Eau Claire as a recreation program supervisor. She and her husband, Ben, live in Eau Claire with two sons, Anderson (9) and Greyson (6). When not at work, Carrie enjoys cooking, running, riding bike, attending plays and concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
