September is going to be a really exciting month for us. Our team will be travelling to conferences & meetups all over the world. There's a schedule at the end of this mail - do have a look at it, and come say hi if you're around!
Product Updates
Hasura now supports GraphQL Enums! Single-column Postgres tables (or two-columns, where the second column is a documentation comment) can now be exposed as Enums in the GraphQL schema so that enum values can be explicitly represented and typechecked.
Enums can be configured via the metadata APIs or the Hasura console. You can read more here.
Here are some of the other features we’ve added over the past month:
Deeper PostGIS support: Building on Hasura's existing support for PostGIS we added support for Raster Intersect functions. We've also added support forcasting between geometry and geography types. This allows queries to take advantage of both the more efficient and featureful operations on geometry and the more accurate distance calculations of geography, regardless of how the data is actually stored!
Permissions summary view: The Hasura console now shows a summary to view all the access control permissions across tables and roles. This makes it easy especially if you have a large number of models and multiple roles.
There's more info about all the updates in our change log >>.
From submitting PRs to speaking at meetups, there are a lot of ways to get involved with the Hasura community. We've written a short guide to help you get started.
We are also teaming up with meetups to organize offline events where developers work though our GraphQL tutorials together. If you're interested in hosting one of these events at you're meetup/org we'd love to help you out and support the event. Reach out to us and we'll get the ball rolling.

We’ve got your weekend reading covered😜. Here are some of the blog posts we published last month:
And finally, we are excited to announce that we’ve partnered with ReactRiot - The largest online React hackathon. It’s happening on the 28th & 29th of Sep. You can signup here.
As usual, we’d love to meet you if you’re at any of these events. DM us on twitter and let’s setup a time to meet!
That's it for this month's update. If you have any feedback or questions about Hasura or would just like to get in touch, feel free to reach out on Discord / Twitter.
