New patent for Augumenta virtual panel technology

Hooray, we did it again: we were granted a new patent! Our company story began with solving the interaction problems of AR wearables: how do you efficiently communicate with the devices and virtual objects in the augmented reality environment. We wanted to turn AR into a productive tool for companies. The SmartPanel technology is combining the best of our knowledge in the field of industrial AR and intuitive interaction with techs such as machine vision and machine learning on the background. We predict that in the future (and quite soon if you ask us) you won’t see control panels with physical buttons or knobs anymore. Virtual panels are simply more flexible, safer and easier to maintain. There are no other solutions quite like SmartPanel: it’s purely Augumenta’s own forerunning technology. And that is what the patents are also saying.

KasvuOpen finals calling

We made it to the finals! Kasvu Open is the largest project for sparring companies with growth experts in Finland. Companies have an opportunity to present their growth plan to a number of experts and get feedback, which helps them to clarify, polish and get up to speed with the plan. There are several rounds of sparring out of which only small part of the companies are chosen to the final pitching round. We are very pleased that our hard work carried us all the way to the finals. Looking forward to seeing you at the Kasvu Open Karnevaali event!

Reboot IoT Factory

We were recently invited to showcase our industrial AR demos at the Reboot IoT Factory event in Vaasa, Finland. This really interesting ecosystem program aims at sharing practical knowledge about digitization projects within the Finnish manufacturing industry. Digitization is the most complex challenge, the live-or-die game for companies, and in its vastness difficult to tackle. Trying things out and sharing the experiences is a great way to grab the challenge by its horns and help others along the way.

The Reboot IoT Factory ecosystem consists of forerunning factories, IoT solution providers and top research organisations in Finland. The mode of operation is to provide research and development platforms i.e. real factories as environments to co-create and test new solutions. CEATEC Japan, October 15 -18

So that life wouldn’t be boring, we will join another major event at the other side of the globe during the same time period: CEATEC Japan is starting on October 15th at the Makuhari Messe Central. We will be exhibiting there for the second year in a row, this time together with the City of Oulu and City of Sendai joint pavilion. We warmly welcome you to come to catch up with us.
