Dear Praying Friends and Family,                                                 July-August 2019

We praise the Lord for a fruitful summer! Faith Baptist Church held its first VBS in the middle of July. It was a blessing to have a team from our fellow missionary’s home church join us. We rejoiced with them over ten souls saved throughout the VBS.They also helped blitz the neighborhoods around the church and paint the church wall.

Vacation Bible School

August presented itself with many new ministry opportunities. In the previous updated we asked you to pray for the University Bible study. Administration approved the Bible study and allowed us to set up a booth at the University Kick Off. I was even given the opportunity to present the Bible Study to the audience attending the kick-off. However, since that time, one of the officials at the University has questioned the Bible study and does not want us on the campus. We are simply praying the Lord softens her heart and allows the plans to move forward. Please pray with us that this opposition will subside and the doors will continue to open.

As the Back to School time approached, Elizabeth was given the great priviledge of conducting teacher trainings in two local schools. The teachers were very grateful for the instruction. She had complete freedom to share the Gospel, pass out New Testaments, and invite the teachers to church. A number of teachers acknowledged their need for a Savior. Pray they will attend services and be saved!

Faith Baptist Church’s Back to School event was filled with fun, games, food, and a great message. It was a blessing to hear all of the laughter throughout the day as our young church family continued to bond. During the invitation, two people raised their hand for salvation. We praise God that both ladies received Christ as their Savior when Pastor Mark and his wife visited them later that week!

God certainly answered prayer concerning Anna’s birth certificate! We received it in late August and have begun all her US paperwork. Thank you for those prayers! God is good! In October, we will begin applying for our permanent residency. The process can take up to a year.
