MSTAR 2019 Program

Another successful Medical Student Trainee in Aging Research (MSTAR) program wrapped in August. This year’s fifteen students worked closely with mentors on projects which were presented on July 22 and 29, and will be submitting abstracts of their research to national meetings over the following academic year. Research topics included: ADRD, smoking cessation, cannabis use in older adults, sleep in SNFs, hearing loss, study recruitment and retention, and nutrition in adult day centers (ADCs). Thank you to Hibah Khan, MPA for coordinating another great summer for our trainees and to our mentors for helping students learn more about aging and research during their eight weeks with NYU. We hope to continue the program next year.

CCN Research Day
All are invited to attend the Center for Cognitive Neurology’s Research Day on Wednesday, September 18th, from 10am-5pm in Alumni Hall B/Farkas Breezeway.
