Tendai gets a two-and a half year

visa to stay in New Zealand!

It was very happy scene at NSCC HQ the other day when Tendai opened his mail to find his application for a two and a half year visa had been approved.

Chairman, Hayden Smith, had this to say; "The club is absolutely delighted that Tendai’s visa has been approved, giving him security in New Zealand for an extended period.
He has been a massive contributor on and off the field in his two seasons with us, but moreover, he is simply a top bloke!
This is win/win for everyone.  We now look forward to the season ahead."

More importantly, read what Tendai himself has to say:
"I am not sure if it is the fun I have in coaching the little ones at the Domain when the innocent eyes look at me as I explain or demonstrate some drills for them to do.
Or is it the moments when the Premier boys huddle up to pick each other up when the going gets tough.
Or maybe it is the unbelievable scenic Devonport and Auckland alive with people who always wear a smile upon greeting or the genuineness of the people around me.
But I'm sure it's some or all these things that have stolen my heart and made me want to live here longer. All of which is why getting this visa means so much to me.
While Zimbabwe has been on the fall as a nation I still have it on my heart but New Zealand seems to have won me with its ways.
I hope one day I will have full rights to represent the Black Caps and be a part of that Kane Williamson team which has a true spirit of respect, humility and boldness in all”

That's not all!

It's Tendai's 30th birthday
this Friday.

So come down to the club next Saturday (the 7th Sept)
at 7.30pm and help Tendai celebrate his visa and birthday!
