You're Invited To Our National Assisted Living Week Celebration
In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, the Golden View community has planned a series of events from Sunday, September 8 through Saturday, September 14 to celebrate and bring together residents, their families, and members of the public.
To celebrate this year’s theme of “A Spark of Creativity” with the Lakes Region community, Golden View will host a Grandparents Day ice cream social on Sunday, September 8 at 2 pm. The social is free and open to anyone who is a grandparent.
Other activities that are free and open to the public during this special week are:
Monday, September 9 at 2:30 pm: Music & Comedy of Red Gallagher
Tuesday, September 10 at 2:30 pm: Balladeer and Storyteller Jim Barnes
Thursday, September 12 at 2:30 pm: “Love Songs & Melodies” starring Sueanne Thayer
Friday, September 13 at 2:30 pm: “Music From the Great American Songbook” starring Ronnie Chase
National Assisted Living Week was created by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. The annual observance inspires assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinct aspect of long term care.

Golden View assisted living resident Avis celebrated her 100th birthday Wednesday, September 4 by enjoying cake and spending the day with family and friends.
