Hold Being Held Closes
Saturday September 7 2019 at 5PM
There are still a few days left to visit the gallery and see this exhibition of clay objects, installation + time-based works.
Hold Being Held presents traditional, experimental, and conceptual clay-based installations of seven contemporary artists:
Rachel Grenon / Samantha Dickie / Alan D Burgess / Gordon Hutchens / Jeff Brett / Bobbi Denton / D Gillian Turner.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10AM – 5PM

NEW EXHIBITION OPENS
Saturday September 28 2019
UNCOVER presents the work of Anna Gustafson / Clea Minaker / Elizabeth Russell + Natalie Nickerson / Heather Passmore / Nadine Bariteau. The exhibition is part of a thematic convergent program that considers the implications of concealing and revealing through a related Artist Residency, a Project Room – Independent Studio Practice, Community Make Art Workshops, artist talks + artist performance events.
Join us at CVAG for the opening day of events on Saturday September 28 2019:
11AM – 1PM Two Community Make Art Workshops led by artists Anna Gustafson and Nadine Bariteau.
1PM – 5 PM. Art Opening / Artist Talk / Artist Performance / Reception
The opening day’s events will offer the community an opportunity to engage with the artists through art making and dialogue about the work presented.
CVAG events are open to the public / all ages / free admission, unless otherwise indicated. Donations are gratefully accepted.

First Screening Sunday, September 15
Series Passes provides access to all ten films for $126 for CVAG members/$135 for non-members.
Individual tickets are $14 each for CVAG members/$15 for non-members.
Call 250.338.6211 ext. 1 to purchase passes over the phone, or drop by CVAG at 580 Duncan Ave, Courtenay.
(Tuesday – Saturday 10am-5pm)
Films run on Sundays and Wednesdays at 5pm at Landmark Cinemas, 2665 Cliffe Ave. Courtenay (Driftwood Mall).

Join us for the 45th Winter Art Market featuring well crafted handmade creative works by regional makers.
The market will run from December 6 to December 28, and the deadline for submissions is Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.
