Colin Leaver – Executive Director
Prayer:
- For our new German volunteer named Ina, who has just arrived. Pray that her time here will be rewarding for her as she serves here in Canada For 2 new leaders with QYU who are finishing raising their deputation funds before they can start serving youth in ministry. Also pray for those they connect and partner with to accomplish this Gospel mission
- For more golfers needed for our Golf Marathon on Thursday October 10th. These golfers are helping to raise money for our ministry.
Praise:
- For a great Summer BBQ at the Leaver house with all QYU board and staff members to take an evening to slow down, celebrate and fellowship together.
- For our 2 summer staff, Rachel and Megan, who poured their hearts into serving youth at Masterpiece Performing Arts camps, and the Brighton and Belleville youth centres.
- For the Gospel passionately shared to over 40 people who were involved in the week long Centre Hastings Beach volleyball camps, including lots of cottage youth from across Ontario
Praising God for a visit from our first German Intern Sarah and her new husband this summer and asking prayer for Hendrik who is visiting us in Canada at this moment.
Mike Wilson – Graphic Word
Prayer
- For our committee as we work on recruiting patterns to join us in sharing the heart of Graphic Word
- Our students who went to FanExpo, that they would remember to consider how they share their beliefs/faith with others in a relatable way
- For partners to come alongside us in our Board Game Nights and RPG & Me programs
Praise
- We had 9 students come out to FanExpo even this past Saturday
- Big thank you to our Summer Staff that helped run Board Game Nights
- Thank you to church partners Trenton Weslyan Church (letting us use their 12 passenger van for Fan Expo) and Frankford Community Church (letting us speak about the ministry and preach)
Bob Scrivens – Chaplain Bob would like prayer for his endeavours to start up a hymn sing at his residence in Picton. They were agreeable for him to do so and October would be the start of it. Also for his mentor-ship with a youth and young adult For his continued health!
Eli Verkuyl – Prince Edward County -NEW STAFF!
Praise reports; successful deputization.
Prayer requests; favour and influence with school administrators. Creativity in creating content/means to reach students.
Also I’d love to see YU re-aquire office space within the PECI school building
Marvin McMurray - Centre Hastings
Prayer Request:
That I will be able to hear how the Lord is directing me towards programs, events and fellow laborers..
The Billy Graham event coming up in October. Pray that students who are invited will accept and go.
Praise Report:
Special thanks to the Lord for both good attendance and execution of the Masterpiece Theatre Camp, and the Beach Volleyball Camp. Special thanks also for all the Volunteers who put their summer on hold to help make these camps possible.

-That we have been given this opportunity to love on and minister to the kids of Brighton.
- Our summer program as we where able to stay open 2 days a week!

It would be appreciated if you could stand with our Performing Arts Mininstry as September kicks off the formal training for our high school ministry team, Spirit Borne. Please pray for:
- adult male small group leader - we still need 1 -2 people to commit
- unified team who glorifies Christ
- for all leaders and students to know God and make Him known
- for financial coverage for students who cannot pay the fees
