Easter Seals Nova Scotia Weekly Boccia Program

When: Thursday, September 12 from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Where: 2615 Northwood Terrace, Edward L Roach Building
in the Shirley Burnstein Hall

The Next Step Program is for youth ages 18 - 30 who identify as having a disability and face barriers to employment. This program will be offered from September 2019 to May 2020. This is a paid employment-based program where participants will partake in professional development and employment skills training while also partaking in job shadowing exercises and paid internships. To apply for the Next Step Program, please download the application (you can fill it out right on your computer) and send the completed application to Michelle at michelle@ilns.ca.  
Team Spirit is looking for new artist volunteers for Saturday afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. (September 14 - December 7). Some of the art themes for this year include: drag syndrome, cosplay / fashion design, textile design, figure drawing, backdrop painting, and even more. There will also be an ice-cream making social! If there any artists or art educators looking for a meaningful experience, please email teampossibles@gmail.com for more information as well as details about the schedule for the fall term.
Calling all Performers with Disabilities!
 
Independent Living Nova Scotia is hosting a Variety Show at the Bus Stop Theatre (2203 Gottingen Street, Halifax, NS)! We are looking for performers with disabilities to fill acts in either an afternoon matinee or an evening show on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

Show Times
Afternoon Matinee: 2 – 4 p.m.
Evening Show: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

The COMM ACCESS Program is for youth ages 16 - 24 who identify as having a disability. This program will be offered from October 2019 to March 2020. This is a day program where there will be personal development, self-advocacy, and employment skills workshops and weekly recreational activities. There will also be time to create community and employment engagement action plans, so you can reach your goals. To apply for the COMM ACCESS Program, please download the application (you can fill it out right on your computer) and send the completed application to Michelle at michelle@ilns.ca.
