2019-20 Baseball Season Starts soon...

Teams have been formed for the 2019-20 Summer Baseball Season! It is still not too late to register. We still have space in the following teams.

The 2019-20 Summer Baseball season is scheduled to start on Friday 13 September. That is only a little over a week to go!

Our junior teams have been formed, but it is not too late to sign up to join one of our teams. Follow the registration instructions below.

Working Bee this Saturday 7 Sep

Concord Baseball Club will be running a Working Bee this Saturday 7 September (9.00am - 1.00pm) to ready our home fields for the upcoming summer Baseball season.

If you have some time to spare and want to help out our club, please come on down and lend a hand!

Our annual Muster Day is on Saturday 7 September (1.00 - 2.00pm). The muster day is the time to meet your coach, team mates and get organised for the season ahead. A reminder that Concord Baseball is a community sporting club and only runs because of the hard work and effort of its members. Each team needs a multitude of people to help it succeed. These include Coaches, Managers and Scorers. Please volunteer to help your team out.

Concord Baseball Club run junior teams in the Ryde Hawks Baseball League and adult teams in the Pacific Coast Baseball League.

Please be advised that the Uniform Shop will be open for business Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in September (6.30 - 8.00pm). In addition, the shop will be open on Muster Day, Saturday 7 Sep (1.00-2.00pm).

Senior Baseball

Registrations are now open to play Senior Baseball with Concord this upcoming Summer season. All male and female players welcome. Minimum age 15 as at 1 September 2019. All junior players aged 15 years are also able to play Seniors as well as Juniors, only one registration required. Contact Tony for more information.

Umpire Update

This season Comets will not be having a RHBL Game Management at Concord, as we have had them for the last three seasons. However any coaches, parents, young players wishing to attend a RHBL Game Management Course, Five Dock Falcons are having one this Saturday 7 September 2019 at Timbrell Park from 9am - 11am. Anyone wishing to attend from Concord is welcome to attend.

Have you got your Active Kids Sports Voucher yet?

The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the new Active Kids program.

Parents, guardians and carers can apply for two vouchers valued up to $100 per calendar year for each student enrolled in school.

The voucher may be used with a registered activity provider for registration, participation and membership costs for sport, fitness and active recreation activities.

The voucher can be used at any time during the calendar year it was issued.

To apply for a voucher go to https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher.

Our club is a registered provider, search for "Concord Baseball Club Inc."

Please be advised that the online registration system is not able to automatically apply the active kids voucher. The club has a manual process in place. Once you have your active kids voucher you will need to supply the club with the 16-digit code. The club will then submit the code through NSW Service and reinburse the $100 back to our members. Please send through details to concord.baseball@gmail.com

Lastly, the discount code section on the payment page of our online registration is not for Active Kids Vouchers. Please follow the manual process above.

Walk The Plank - Sunday 15 September

Limited spots available – get your teams on the diamond and up to speed ready for the 2019/20 Summer Season! A one day Zooka carnival held at Corbin Reserve Quakers Hill.
A great way to kick start the season for new and returning players.

Coaching Courses
All coaches this season need to be qualified (even Level 1 would do). If a coach attends a course for coaching accreditation and passes the receipt onto RHBL they will be reimbursed to the full amount. Coaches are advised to check the BNSW Website for available Level 2 & Level 3 Courses. RHBL will run another Level 1 Course if required so a minimum certification can be obtained.
