Request Supplies and Schedule Cleanup
For the same reasons we need your reporting form for your Adopt-a-Street cleanup, the Ocean Conservancy asks that you register your cleanup with them - it takes a few extra minutes but the information you give them can help their mission to reduce ocean trash. You can do the same cleanup with just a little more information and make it count DOUBLE!
Before your cleanup
Step 1. schedule your cleanup and request supplies from City of Frisco.
Step 2. Register your cleanup with the Ocean Conservancy.
During your cleanup
Step 3. Download the CleanSwell App.
Step 4. Have volunteers log their litter.
After your cleanup
Step 5. Document and share your results.
Step 6. Haul your trash to the correct location or leave it at your sign.
Step 7. Return your supplies - including your reporting form to Environmental Services.
Celebrate making a big impact on cleaning up the environment!

Balloon Releases Are Littering

You may have seen the stray balloon remnants scattered along one of your streets before. This actually isn't uncommon. Balloon releases have been growing in popularity with the rise of social media and doing it for the gram. Don't be fooled by a cool photo - it's still littering. There are plenty of other ways to remember, pay tribute, or celebrate that don't involve littering and wasting resources like helium (which has a low bio-availability). Some of our favorites include reusable ribbons, led lights, soy candles, or making your own biodegradable confetti by using a hole puncher in leaves - perfect for Fall!
