Your Images required for the Knox Council Biodiversity project

To the Tuesday Walk groupies.
If you have any images from the recent walks to Masons Reserve and Peregrine Heights - FTG Quarry and you want to submit them for the Knox Council Biodiversity project, could you please forward  them to Richard Kelly via WeTransfer or via a memory stick as soon as possible.
Richard has a meeting with Council shortly to show off some of the images from Mansons Reserve and Peregrine Heights but a few more are required.

Regards,
Richard.
Next Tuesday's Walk is at the William G Morris Reseve in Wantirna.
There is a map on our website here
Sony Users
KPS recently acquired a remote control for our Jinbei flash system that allows multiple camera brands to be used.
Sony, in their infinite wisdom, designed a hot shoe connection that is unique to Sony.
The TR-Q7 remote needed an adaptor to allow the remote to talk to your Sony camera and we now have one of these adaptors.
As you may have noticed, there are quite a number of KPS members who now use Fuji mirrorless cameras. One of these members has just purchased the successor to his Fuji X-T2 and now wants to sell the X-T2 and its accessory battery grip.

If you think this may interest you, please get in touch with Bruce Fullard on 0418 316 504.
Bruce says that this is a low mileage camera.
Bruce's camera is in far better condition than my well run in version pictured above.

TRAVELOGUE Education Night
My Working Holiday in BORNEO - 18
th September

Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the Borneo Orangutan and their habitat. Borneo Orangutan share 97% DNA with humans but under massive threat largely due to Palm Oil Plantations. I was lucky enough to be involved in a working holiday making enrichment for these extraordinary animals and will be presenting at the KPS Travelogue on the18th September.

It will be a fundraiser so we can hopefully get enough to purchase a boat to be used by the local carers to transport food and enrichment to the Orangutans.($500) Losing this species would be unthinkable. I will be collecting cash on the night and sending it from KPS.
Another option is to adopt an Orangutan or make a contribution on the BOS website.
https://www.orangutans.com.au/ If you would like to be more informed about what products contain Palm Oil –this page is very helpful. https://www.facebook.com/palmoilproductsinAustralia/
I really hope we can make a difference.
Thank you - Andrea Cornwall

Note: You will not be expected to donate but we really hope you do.

Colour Munkis and any other KPS equipment.

Note: All equipment loans are for 1 week, from Wednesday to Wednesday.
We now have two new, more sophisticated Color Munkis for new, more sophisticated monitors.

If borrowed on the last Wednesday of the month return is the Sunday portrait workshop, or you need to drop by at the committee meeting, which is always the first Wednesday of the month.

Supporters of KPS:

Croydon Camera House – make sure you tell them you are a KPS member, it is a good idea to ask for Nigel.
It's also a good idea to find your best price online from an Australian retailer then see if Croydon Camera House will price match.

Protog in Mitcham, have a range of equipment that you may not find in camera stores. Tom and Brian at Protog are very helpful blokes.
