Here’s what’s happening in Los Angeles.
We’ve returned to weekends of a normal duration, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. There’s a lot going down in the LA health and fitness scene, and we’re here to provide the inside scoop. Here’s what’s happening right now.

🐯 Out There Gettin’ It
We’re big fans of Go Get Em Tiger, so we were thrilled to find out they’ve expanded again. After opening at ROW DTLA in July, they kept the momentum going, carving out a spot in the newly-renovated Music Center Plaza downtown at the end of August. The boutique coffee shop will be open daily, with extended hours on performance days, which means you can grab your favorite espresso, latte, or a hot chocolate until 9pm. And, alongside their thoughtful coffee and tea program, you’ll find an array of breakfast and daytime bites like a not-so-basic avo toast with kohlrabi and micro herbs and a summer salad with charred zucchini and green goddess dressing.

🥕 Bring On The Veggies
Also on a growth trajectory is fast-casual vegan restaurant chain Veggie Grill, which just opened a location in Toluca Lake. Swing by the new spot to check out their seasonal dishes like the Summer Celebration Salad or Char Grilled Street Corn Bowl. They also have an incredible Beyond Patty Melt and a Carne Asada Burrito for the plant-based “meat”-lovers among us.

|
✌️ Hippie Vibes + Ramen Bowls
Speaking of seasonal menus, Flower Child recently added a limited-time vegan ramen bowl to its lineup and we can hardly contain our excitement. Made with spicy tofu, roasted corn, bean sprouts, and a miso-sesame broth, this mouth-watering, plant-based dish is only available through October 15, so grab it while it’s hot! Fitt Tip: Sub out sweet potato noodles and a different broth to make it gluten-free!

🔥 Get Your Creativity Flowing
Feeling a lack of creative drive? Instead of brainstorming, try yoga! Local instructor Amy Suto specializes in using mindfulness to boost creativity and has opened her unique style up to the public. So, the next time you’re feeling stuck, pop into her Yoga for Writers class at Aunt Bessi’s on West Pico Boulevard on Wednesdays and Fridays for some inspiration. She teaches at other times and places throughout the week, too, so make sure you check out the rest of her schedule.

💪 Work It On Wednesdays
You may not often find yourself on the Third Street Promenade on a Wednesday evening, but the new free fitness series the city is hosting might be the best reason we can think of to stop by this stretch of Santa Monica. Every Wednesday throughout September, they’ll be hosting a complimentary workout class led by top instructors from local studios like Hot 8 Yoga, Ritual Gym, and more. Sounds like the perfect way to get through that midweek slump.

Holy Gelato!
Although there’s much debate about whether gelato is better than ice cream, we can all agree that any frozen dessert is pretty satisfying in this heat. So, the timing for the grand opening of Gelato Festival, a new gelato shop in WeHo, couldn’t be more perfect. The shop is named after the actual Gelato Festival that happens every year across the world and is the first flagship store where you can get the award-winning flavors year-round. So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal!
