Yes, I do own ruby slippers... or at least red slip-ons.

Oh, hello!

Ding, dong, the witch isn't dead! The graphics witch, that is. ME! I'm alive and well. You've been keeping me on my toes with tons of amazing design projects so I haven't been able to drop a newsletter in a very long time. But now I have things to say, information to share, schedules to update.

On a personal note...

I may be starved for actual conversation, try as I might Conan's conversational skills are lacking.

Big News:

Charlie, Charlie's Dad, and I bought a house. A house! This is very exciting and scary. Exciting because it's ours, scary because we are doing major renovations and those are stressful. But, in the long run, it will be fantastic. With this house I'll be moving my office out-of-house so when I leave work, I actually leave work. This is a big deal since I've worked at home for the better part of 16 years.

My office has always been a desk and small workspace wherever I could fit it in my home. Years ago, when I bought my home in GA, I had a massive studio that swallowed me whole. When I sold that home I wasn't sure if I would buy again, but knew that if I did, I would want my work to be outside the home. But not too far, like, in the backyard. So, in the future, when I begin work on my out-of-house office, I'll send newsletter updates with the progress. So you can see where your designs come from, how I work, and who my coworkers are.

(just tearing down walls because I can't do anything the easy way)

ps:

My coworkers are animals. Literally. Two cats and a dog. And sometimes Charlie.

Small News:

I'm headed back to GA for a hot minute, which means I have a limited schedule for next week...

The Schedule:

Monday - Wednesday: UNAVAILABLE (I'll be enroute to GA and back - I'll have my laptop if you need emergency web work or maintenance)
Thursday: 8:00am - 3:00pm; 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm; 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Since the summer break is finally over my schedule will go back to normal from here forward. If there are any changes, I'll make sure you're made aware.

This week in design...

Millennials are a great many things, trust me, I'm an elder millennial. One of those things is completely aware of what everyone thinks of them; another is funny, with the ability to make fun of their own preconceived image. So here's a happy little logo created for a voiceover team with a specific market and tone. Just look at that participation trophy. He just showed up and was smiling. Good job, guy.
