Chamber Music Program September 5th at 7:00 pm! 
Due to the great turnout (and our great acoustics), by popular demand, we have scheduled another great chamber music program. Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 pm the Winsted Community Bookstore, located at 414 Main Street, Winsted, welcomes MuUyas Chamber Music. The program is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to winstedbooks@gmail.com

Trail Census Seeks Volunteers September 11 / 14

Winsted Trails is seeking volunteers to participate in the second round of the 2019 CT Trails Census at the Sue Grossman Trail. We will be going out on Wednesday, September 11 from 5-7 pm, and Saturday, September 14th from 9 to 11 am. Rain dates are the next day at the same time. Volunteers who have not previously participated should plan to arrive around 15 minutes early for a brief orientation. If you plan on attending, please contact moulderfrances@gmail.com for more details.
 

Steam Vent Coffee House - September 14 from 6-9:30 pm


The Fall Season of Steam Vent Coffee House starts on September 14 at the First Church of Winsted.  Open mic from 6 – 7 pm for that interested, sign-up the night of the event.  Featured performers from 7 – 9 pm include Jim Macs, Michael Lovallo & Eddie Mallick, Jim Palermo, Dave Kenna, and Jean Recchia.  Pizza Night int he Café from 6 – 8 pm.  Two slices of pizza choice of toppings (vegetarian options) served with choice of sides, salad, deserts, and beverages ... $10.00.
 


Yale Whiffenpoofs, to Perform at NCCC September 17 
 

 The celebrated a cappella group, The Yale Whiffenpoofs, will perform at Northwestern Connecticut Community College on Tuesday, 6:30 pm in the Founders Hall Auditorium. This unique one-hour concert is free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by the NCCC Cultural Planning Committee and generously supported by the Northwestern Community Foundation.


 
Chicken Pot Pie Dinner September 19

The Winsted United Methodist Church at 630 Main Street will be having a Chicken Pot Pie dinner at 6:00 pm. The menu consists of Chicken, Pot Pie, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Salad,  Beverage, and Desserts.  Adults $12.00 and kids under 12 are $6.00. Reservations are advised. Please call 860-379-6386 or 860-238-7536. You can eat in, take out, or have delivered in the Winsted area. Donations of non-perishable items are welcome!

Friends of Main Street Fall Foliage Festival comes to Main Street for the 22nd year from 10am - 3 pm.  Enjoy the sight, sounds and smells of this annual celebration, rain or shine.  For the past two decades, visitors from afar flock to downtown Winsted to enjoy the autumn splendor. Discover artisans, crafters, plus a wide array of tasty seasonal treats to tickle your taste buds! It’s just “good old-fashioned” family ​fun for all ages.

 
Winchester Center Day!  Vintage Car & Motorcycle Show (Trophies), Revolutionary War Encampment with Drill and Musket Demo at 11:30 am & 1:30 pm, Local Artists & Craftsmen with Free (all ages) Watercolor Workshop at 11:00 am & 1:00 pm.  And Tours & DemonstrationsMusic by Kevin & Pete, Bake Sale (Pies, Breads, Cookies). Join us for Lunch with all kinds of food choices, Wagon Rides & So Much More! 
 
The 5K Highland Hustle road race at Highland Lake, a Northwest Connecticut YMCA event, begins at 9 am. Enjoy a scenic 5K trek around beautiful Highland Lake in Winsted! This beautiful course presents a challenge as it is mostly a flat course but does consist of a few gradual climbs.  The 1-Mile Kids run and the 2-Mile walk option for adults means that this event is fun for the whole family!  Rain or Shine Event.
 
AMP’s Annual Art of Work Gala on is from 6–11 pm. This year’s theme is “Recycled Runway”—a recycled wearable art show! The evening also includes a reception with cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres, light projections, live music by the Nekita Waller Band, dance party, and dessert. Various ticket options available for purchase, ranging from $35–$350 per person.
