It's been a very busy week.

Hey there quilters!

I tell non-quilters frequently that Fall is the start of the busy season and boy howdy this week hit the ground running. One sniff of cool air, kids back in school, and all the quilters start calling and dropping in the shop.

Then the delivery guys started showing up! Everything is super exciting, and my mind is racing with possibilities. Something about fall gets to me too, and I want to organize All The Things and get to work.

Which is good, because there's new Kona colors, 30+ bolts of batiks, an entire fall collection, and four new widebacks that I have to input in our system as well as make sure new things show up on the sadly neglected online shop. I also have dreams about regular blog posts too, so we'll see how that pans out.

• I love architecture AND history so this bit about different architecture styles all over Africa is fascinatingly cool.
• And while we are travelling the world (virtually) have a gander at this Filipino artist who uses dead leaves and other materials to make art. It's totally worth the click, I promise.
• 104 year old became the world's oldest street artist after joining a group of guerilla knitters. I'm not sure I can add anything to that, except maybe you're never too old to be part of the revolution or create something! (I had a 94 year old in my shop this week, she was a delight!)
• Haberdashery is the best word ever. This Australian story talks about how your local sewing store may just be bouncing back.
