DONOR CIRCLE
This past Tuesday we kicked off our corporate sponsorship program! Please take a moment to talk with your child about finding possible donors. Soliciting donations to Tompkins Orchestra Friends could be just a quick conversation away. See link below for more information. Donor Circle Information

UNIFORM FITTING #2
Thanks to our well-organized team of uniform parent volunteers we were able to fit over 250 orchestras students in their formal concert uniforms. With any luck uniforms will return from the seamstress in a few weeks to be taken home for the year. Special thanks to our parent volunteers pictured below!!!

BOOSTER MEETING RESCHEDULED
Please note our first Tompkins Orchestra Friends booster board meeting of the year has been rescheduled to September 12th at 7:30 pm in the OTHS Orchestra Room. If you are interested in helping behind the scenes and getting to know some other wonderful orchestra parents please make plans to attend.

HOUSTON SYMPHONY OUTING!
Our annual outing to watch the Houston Symphony in concert is set for September 19th. We are so excited to be attending a performance of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Students AND parent chaperones are welcome to sign up. Our buses depart around 5pm that evening and will return around 10:15pm. Students tickets are $25 and parents tickets are $30 each. The performance is limited to the first 75 folks to sign up. See link to sign-up flier for more information.

ALL-STATE CLINIC AT UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON
The University of Houston is hosting an all-state clinic on September 28th at the Moore's School of Music. U of H faculty will be on hand to coach all-state hopefuls as they prepare for the October auditions. See website for more info.

CAR WASH
Our annual orchestra car wash is coming up next weekend (9/14). We would love to get everyone involved in helping us raise money for the program. Stay tuned for a parent volunteer link! Student sign ups will be posted in the orchestra room on the sign up door. Start spreading the word to friends and neighbors.
