Well done all who graduated from K9 Trickstas Pre Beginners Class (August 2019)!
Another Pre Beginners Class has finished and three awesome puppies, Loki, Oreo, and Marley have successfully completed it. In fact we were extremely lucky with the weather that we didn't have to cancel any sessions!! All puppies and their owners worked very hard. Keep up your good work!!

Next Pre Beginners Class is starting soon!
 The next Pre Beginners Class is starting on Saturday the 5th October. Because the fourth weekend falls on Labour Weekend, the fourth session is scheduled to be on the 2nd November.
Pre Beginners Class - October 2019
Time/Date: 10-10:50am Saturdays 5, 12, 19 Oct and 2 Nov (4 sessions)
Location: Walter Strevens Reserve, Takanini
Cost: $100 per team
Prerequisite: All puppy vaccinations have been done.

Next Step - Good Manners Beginners Class
I have been frequently asked what I offer to people and their dogs who have graduated from K9 Trickstas Pre Beginners Class. Before I started offering the Pre Beginners Class for Puppies, I was offering tricks classes only, because I believe that we could teach our dogs any behaviours as tricks. But, I realised that it would be more beneficial for many pet dog owners if I offered a class to teach dogs good manners as tricks rather than teaching our dogs tricks just for fun or toward trick dog titles. So, starting next month, K9 Trickstas is offering Good Manners Beginners Class if there is enough interest!!!
Good Manners Beginners Class - October 2019
It goes ahead if there is enough interest. So, register your interest if you would like to sign up for this class!!
Time/Date: 2-3pm Saturdays 5, 12, 19 Oct and 2 Nov (4 sessions)
Location: Walter Strevens Reserve, Takanini
Cost: $100 per team
Prerequisite: Vaccinations are up to date.
 In this class dogs will learn manners such as:
- Food manners
- Greeting other dogs and people
- Walk on lead with distraction
- Walk through a gate
- Recall
- Stay
These are actually part of the exercises assessed in the Canine Good Citizen program (Foundation level).

We are always looking for ways to improve our service. If you found things that we could have done better (except for Manako's English skills), please let us know!
It is sad to see so many dogs causing troubles out of boredom. For example, barking issues can often be solved by giving the dog stimulating activities such as trick training and food puzzles. I would like to help those dogs, but their owners need to be convinced that they can change their dogs' behaviours through fun training. Please let me help them!
