There's always something new going on at our optometry practices and this week, we would love to introduce you to a new face at our Lower Hutt clinic.

Next time you visit Black Gates Meek & Dong, you might be greeted by Jess, who joined our team in late September.

Jess is our new receptionist and optical assistant. Her previous roles have included a customer service and technical support-based role at Vodafone, and she was also a manager previously, at JayJays clothing store. Jess is looking forward to using her customer service experience in a new industry and meeting you all.

You'll no doubt already know Shannan as she's been with us for over two and a half years now. The knowledge and experience she has gained in that time means she is also able to help you select your glasses and adjust your frames. So next time you pop in, feel free to ask Shannan to help you choose a new frame to compliment your looks and lifestyle.

World Sight Day is 10 October

World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. Did you know that 80% of all cases of blindness can be prevented or treated? There are many eye conditions which develop in mid to later years and can only be picked up with an eye test.
