INDUSTRY AND POLICY: DEVELOPMENT THROUGH DATA EVENT

Join us on 25 September and hear about the amazing new applications and solutions that have been developed through a
collaborative partnership between the public,  private and academic sectors.

Big ideas for Big Data Corridor

We started our data journey a number of years ago, working closely with SMES and entrepreneurs to showcase the immense opportunities that data can open up.

Funded through the European Regional Development Fund, over three years the Big Data Corridor has brought together public, third and private sector partners to support businesses to accelerate their use of data to gain competitive advantage. This has delivered new data driven applications and provided tools to enable better business intelligence and decision making, while at the same time opening eyes to how the public sector can exploit better its own datasets working side by side with the region’s innovators.

Join us on Wednesday 25th September for a day of discovery as we bring you some fascinating cross sector examples of how Big Data techniques has impacted industry, SMEs and public sector. Our keynote and panel debate with leading data expert, Christian Howes will challenge us to look differently at our everyday data and to expose new data in a way that will help us to improve not just our business performance but also our own personal performance.

The legacy work of the Big Data Corridor will be ensuring that, as a region we make it easier for public, academia and business to work in partnership using data in a win-win approach and we want you to join our panel debate with industry leaders and be part of this day to help shape and benefit from that going forward.

The event will include:

  • a keynote from social media and big data expert Christian Howes
  • practical demonstrations and real case examples
  • insightful panel discussions around collaborative work in big data
  • talks on how to monetise and visualise ambient data.
