Comedy of all shades and music of all kinds make up the programme this October at the Headgate.
With comedy to match the darker evenings there's also music to brighten the shorter days, with additional ticket discounts available on selected shows.

The Vicar of Dibley has sold out, but as a bit of a contrast it's quickly followed by Colchester Theatre Group's production of Irish black comedy The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh. The group previously performed McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan to great acclaim. Protocol Theatre bring pitch-black comedy before the music of Matyas Basco and the vaudeville and slapstick of The Affair.

Rich Clifford & The Young Once have also sold out, but Martin Newell & The Hosepipe Band will be bringing cabaret for an autumn day as the clocks go back. There's comedy from Dom Mackie then it's the turn of the kids in our half term musical workshop and Chico Chica perform tango, rumba, jazz and cabaret to top the month.

November starts with West End and Broadway Showstoppers and some Terrifically Terrifying Tales before BUG, a tense, psychological thriller. Bring on the pantomime! Tickets selling fast!!
