What's New

10 for 10 Stewardship emphasis
On Sunday we will finish our stewardship emphasis that's gospel centered encouragement to help all of us grow in the grace of giving the right way.  There's only one way, that's through Christ.  We will have opportunity to gather for worship, participate in Bible study, and learn from God's Word what he says about giving.

Fall Worship by the Water
Our annual fall Worship by the Water will happen in Navarre Park on October 13 at 10:30 am with lunch to follow.  As of right now the elders are considering plans to have the lunch catered.  This is a celebration of all that the volunteers do throughout the year.

Veteran's Day Roll Call
This Veteran’s Day we would like to recognize anyone connected to Risen Savior that is serving or has served in the military.  Please send an email to Pastor or sign up on the sheet under the mailboxes service member’s name, branch, years of service, connection to you, and highest rank achieved.  Can be yourself or a close family member.

News and Notes

Welcome Home Sunday
It happens for a variety of reasons. Christians stop going to church. Do you know a reason people cite for not coming back to church? Fear. They’re afraid of being judged or someone making a joke about their being gone.
Welcome Home Sunday is intended to be a celebration of the blessing of Christian community. God intends his church to be like a home: safe, where we can live without fear. Believers loving one another as kin. October 20 is the perfect Sunday for someone away to come home.
Do you know someone like that? They used to come, but for whatever reason, stopped. Reach out to them. Offer to pick them up. If they’re afraid, assure them we’re all sinners. We’re all redeemed. And we’re all family.  Join us Sunday October 20 for Welcome Home Sunday!  Members take note of the letters you received encouraging you to be there that Sunday.  Those letters are in your mailboxes at church.

Google or Facebook reviews
Please consider going to our Facebook or Google pages and leaving us a review.  This goes a long way in helping guests to know what to expect if they visit.

Online Giving is here
Many of us pay our bills entirely online, buy things online, and generally spend a good amount of time online.  Now you can give to the gospel ministry of Risen Savior online too.  It’s available through Tithe.ly.  The easiest way to start is to download the app.  You will be able to set up one time gifts, recurring gifts, monitor and change anything right from your phone.  You can also access it from risensaviorchurch.org and click “Give” in the upper right hand corner.  We are excited about this additional way in which you can give your gospel motivated offerings to the Lord for the ministry work we are doing here.
