BABYSITTING COURSE
Don't forget to register your kids for the babysitting course taking place on October 5th. We have nearly 20 registered already! Discounted price  for Secord and Rosenthal Community League Members ($55). We will draw one family recreation centre pass, and advertise, with parent approval, everyone that completed the course on our Facebook Page, online newsletter and our next quarterly newsletter; a way to help kids get some publicity.

HALLOWEEN CONTEST
Also, be aware of our Halloween Contest for all members of the Secord Community League. Lots of cool prizes! More details in the newsletter. We will also advertise the contest on Facebook in mid-October. Another reason to join the league !

VOLUNTEERING - COMMITTEES
We are looking for motivated residents to help us continue to make the Secord community a better place. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering for future event, or be part of a committee. Volunteering is a rewarding experience. More Volunteers = Bigger and Better Events and Programs.

SPONSORS
We are also always looking for sponsors for our events, programs and newsletters. Wouldn't if be great if we could offer Programs to the Community for free! Contact us if you are interested in sponsoring (and getting some local publicity).

What is the Secord Community League?

• We create an environment where neighbours can meet and know each other.
• We organize events and programs for the Secord community.
• We provide support, services and connections to the Secord community.
• We fundraise for infrastructure projects (e.g. playground).
• We keep you updated on planning and neighbourhood developments.
• We are your voice to City Council.

The Secord Community League (SCL) is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of 11 volunteers which are all residents of Secord.
