Yep, our own Rose City scored as the state’s best place to live, reports New Jersey Monthly. The ranking didn’t happen by accident. Borough leaders and residents worked well together to make Madison such a terrific place. Read all about it.

Grab a Bottle Hill Day Slot and Volunteer
We’re loaded with fun-packed volunteer opportunities for Bottle Hill Day on Saturday, Oct. 5:
  • Sign up here for a time slot to staff the MDC booth.
  • Sign up here to help with preparation, from coordinating with different campaigns, to bringing chairs, tents or even dog treats.
Wanted: Weekend Warrior Canvassers
We need people to sign up to canvas Saturdays and Sundays until Election Day. Desirable slots are still available. Did we say it’s fun? See for yourself!

  • The borough-owned electric utility provides power to the people – and at competitive prices, reports the Madison Eagle. It’s both a valuable asset and a powerfully good deal for Madison residents.
  • Madison has been humming along with sound fiscal management for the last few years, including no municipal tax increase this year. That’s why Mayor Robert Conley, Councilwoman Maureen Byrne and Council candidate Rachel Ehrlich proudly made this winning record a key plank in their platform for election, according to the Madison Eagle.
  • Madison launched the first Street Smart campaign  in September following two hit-and-run accidents, one of which killed a pedestrian, reported the Madison Eagle. The initial campaign combined educational outreach and high-visibility law enforcement to change behaviors related to pedestrian safety.
A Crowd Trump Would Envy Gathers at the MDC Picnic
Check out the photos from the MDC Campaign Kick-off Picnic and the huge crowd that turned out to support Mayor Bob Conley’s and Councilwoman Maureen Byrne’s reelection, and the election of Rachel Ehrlich to borough council. Even Mikie came!
