The Office of the Dean of Students also has a referral option if you are concerned about a student (www.deanofstudents.gatech.edu).

Join us for a fun discussion on astrology! We'll also engage in some heavier discussion on queer spirituality, and why LGBTQIA+ folks are so gravitated towards the stars.

Y'all means all: this is an event for at LGBTQIA+ folks and their allies. Please email pride@gatech.edu if we can provide any accommodations to make this event more accessible or if you have any questions.

Point System


Now Pride Alliance has a point system with prizes!! If you go to any of our events and sign in, you will earn prizes based off the level of points. We are also including going to our tabling events for points. So, if we ever post our tabling, just stop by and say hi, and you'll be in the running for prizes. For more information, come to our general meetings or talk to Michelle!

Committees

We have different committees this semester for everyone! We have a Coming Out Week Committee run by William, and we have a Professional Development run by Celeste. If you want to know more about it, DM them on slack or talk to them whenever you see them around!

On Campus

The Gold Route

Designed for students who hope to hold a leadership position and for students who are new or returning to their officer roles, the GOLD Route program equips participants with the skills and knowledge they need to make meaningful change in their student leader roles. You can find out more here.

SGA Week


Everyday this week SGA will have different events happening on Tech Walkway from 11 to 2 pm! 


If you have any questions about what committees to join, ask Genny as she is involved in the Arts, Athletics, Sustainability, Cultural & Diversity Affairs.

CommLab Job Opening

Q Chats Facilitator Application


The LGBTQIA Resource Center is looking for one new person to be a Q Chats facilitator for Closed Circuit! The facilitator would begin in Fall 2019 and serve Spring 2020 and Fall 2020, with the opportunity to complete a fourth semester in Spring 2021. It would entail a training with Camilla once at the beginning of your starting semester and the beginning of fall semesters. If you are interested in this wonderful leadership opportunity, please check our website to learn more about the position and see if it is a good fit. Q Chats

 

Looking to connect with other LGBTQIA students in a friendly, low-key setting? Come along to Q Chats, the LGBTQIA Resource Center's student-led discussion groups. The Queer Women's, Queer Men's, Queer People of Color, and Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Gender-Questioning groups will meet bi-monthly throughout the semester. All groups are trans inclusive. Learn more here!

Prep Dot Study 

 

 

Emory is hosting a research study about PrEP. The purpose of the study is to examine if a new mobile app helps people with staying on PrEP. The app has daily reminders, and examines dosing to display a protection level. Study visits will take place at their clinic in Decatur, which is located about a block and a half from MARTA. They  can also provide Lyfts for study visits if transportation is a barrier to anyone.

  • Participants will get PrEP through the study

  • If enrolled, you will receive $75 per visit

  • Participants come in for follow-up visits every 6 week
