Dear Friend,

If you are, as myself, a health seeker, you may already know that healthy diet is a first and easiest way to prevent common diseases. "First Responder", so to say.

After all, even Hippocrates knew it 24 centuries ago... “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food".

We all have a different approach to health and different health consciousness. Mine was elevated with my mother's breast cancer at the age of 8 and then throughout my teenage life and beyond... to this day. I KNOW that it was exactly thanks to this experience that health and nutrition started playing such big part in my life. That was when somewhere deep down I connected the dots, when I experienced my own paradigm shift in health consciousness ... read about my story...

So, I find it easy to look after myself, most of the time. And, on a quest to understand how my clients can not only get healthy, but also stay healthy, it was obvious that this is more about an internal work each of us needs to do.

Here is an interesting teaching from Sadhguru that completely shifted my own paradigm about health and I hope it helps you too:

“Habit means you have become a slave of your own logic, and after some time, it becomes an automatic, unconscious pattern. To get rid of habits, you have to become conscious. If you become more conscious, there will be no such thing as habits. You will do what is right for you and the situation around you in this particular moment. Intention does not bring transformation – only consciousness does.”

I believe he talks about both good and bad habits. Because even doing “healthy” only habitually does not necessarily mean we have become more health conscious and we may find ourselves jumping from healthy to unhealthy habits like a yo-yo. Because the ultimate is when we eat and sleep (and do everything) because it is necessary for the body, when we truly see it as a temple of our existence that embodies our spirit and purpose yet to be fulfilled. You would NEVER put a Diesel in a Petrol engine.
