special food issue!

There are innovative and successful Women Owned businesses in every industry, but food and beverage is one area where women entrepreneurs are making particularly major waves.

This was evident last week at the 2019 Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, Maryland, where thousands of businesses showcased their natural food, beverage, beauty and health products for more than 29,000 attendees.

The Women Owned team was there to touch base with some of the Women Owned businesses we know and love, but also meet some new ones! Check out our Instagram story for a recap of some of the amazing female founders we met.
This week, in honor of the game-changing women in the food and beverage industry, we bring you a special edition of Women Owned Wednesday entirely dedicated to food! Keep reading for recipes combining some of our favorite Women Owned brands, learn about a kid-friendly sparkling water brand, and meet the CEO and "Chief Baker" at Grey Ghost Bakery.

Also, in case you missed it last week, there's still time to tell us how you really feel about Women Owned Wednesday in our quick survey.  We love getting your feedback and learning about Women Owned businesses we should feature.

Now the company produces multiple flavors of all natural sparkling water in kid-friendly cans, all with the mission to help kids drink fewer sugary drinks and more water.

I’d also always wanted to own my own business so decided to marry that desire with my love of cookies and baking and started Ghost Bakery in 2011."
