New Expo Lobby Next time you're at the Portland Expo for an event, check out our new lobby! Floors polished, fresh coat of paint, and new banners up on the walls. A big shout out goes to Kathy Alves's team for painting the walls & hanging the banners, Kevin Schneck & Lon Butcher for painstakingly applying the timeline banners, Steve Macissco's crew for beautifying the floors, Meaghan Maurice for her brilliant designs, and Cyber Copy for their fantastic print job! It was a true team effort.

Casablanca Comics presents: Portland Comic Expo 2019 Sunday, October 27, 10:00am-5:00pm Portland Expo The Portland Comic Expo is a comic book convention that is held annually each October. It is a one day event filled with comic dealers, artists, publishers and cosplay. Admission only $5.00!

Maine Red Claws 2019/20 Schedule Announced!
The Maine Red Claws is entering its 11th season of NBA G-League basketball, with the season beginning on Nov. 9th at Delaware. The first home game will take place on Friday, Nov. 15th at the Portland Expo. Get your tickets today!

Halloween Silent Film with James Kennerley: Tuesday, Oct. 29 @7:00pm Family Concert and Costume Parade: 5:30-6:00pm
The evening starts with a family concert from 5:30 to 6:00pm with a showing of child-friendly Halloween silent cartoons, Kennerley performing on the organ and a children’s costume parade with prizes. At 7:00pm, there is an adult costume parade with the winners chosen by special judges, followed by the main event, the showing of “Battleship Potemkin.” Kennerley will provide a spirited accompaniment to this terrifying classic silent film.

Tony Bennett | The I Left My Heart Tour Thursday, October 24 @7:00pm Merrill Auditorium
Tony Bennett, the 19-time Grammy Award-winning musician whose music spans over six decades, returns to Merrill Auditorium! At the age of 93, Tony Bennett is not slowing down and his latest recording with long-time friend and musical colleague, Diana Krall, "Love is Here to Stay", topped the jazz charts upon its debut and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Tony Bennett’s daughter, Antonia Bennett, has been touring with her father and will open the performance with a collection of jazz/pop standards. Antonia Bennett is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
2019 Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon A Maine Track Club Event
Sunday, October 6 @7:45 am Back Cove, Portland The Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay event features an out-and-back course with rolling hills and views of the Portland skyline, the Back Cove, Casco Bay, and peak fall foliage. The Marathon is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier. The Half Marathon is also USATF certified and the Marathon Relay is a unique 2 to 4-person marathon-length event. Make it a weekend for the whole family! Enjoy Portland’s breweries, restaurants, Old Port shopping and scenic beauty before and after your race. Your family and friends can easily access the start/finish line along the beautiful Back Cove.
