BIKE MOVIES
We're excited to announce the first movie in the Bike Walk Tompkins Film Series! We'll be showing some fabulous feature-length documentaries and other bike-focused films in the coming months. Be sure to check out the trailers, spread the word and join us at Cinemapolis for film viewings and other surprises!

Bikes of Wrath movieTues, Oct. 15, 7pm: The Bikes of Wrath: Five Australians attempt to cycle more than 1600 miles from Oklahoma to California in honor of the westward migration undertaken by 'The Grapes of Wrath's' Joad family. Through chance encounters with everyday Americans, the cyclists expand on the novel’s core themes of migration, inequality and the perceived land of opportunity. Check out the trailer!

We're working hard to secure more thought-provoking bike films in the coming months. Be sure to mark Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 14 and Feb. 11 on your calendars, with the specific films and events to be announced soon! And finally, save March 10, 2020 for our annual Streets Alive! Film Festival!

STREETS ALIVE!

Beautiful weather, the community out in full force, smiles, music, and more at this past

Streets Alive!
Success on the Southside

Sunday, September 15, Plain and Clinton Streets in Ithaca's Southside were chock full of fun, friends, families and free play at the 15th Streets Alive!

Partnering with community members to provide opportunities to dance, play and eat, we were overjoyed to see friends new and old from our community enjoy the gorgeous day with which we were blessed! Young riders proved their mettle in the bike rodeo, others tried out various cargo bikes, and many more juggled and danced the streets!

A special thanks to the many volunteers who kept our streets car-free for the afternoon, and installed and later took down barricades and parking signs! We couldn't do this without you.
