Join Sustainable Newton for a free screening of The Human Element on Thursday, September 26. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 PM and the screening will begin at 7:00 PM at 4151 Hunt Street, Covington in Clark’s Grove. A brief discussion and action opportunity will follow the film.
The Human Element follows renowned environmental photographer James Balog as he explores wildfires, hurricanes, sea-level rise, a struggling coal mining community, and our changing air supply. The documentary highlights Americans on the front lines of climate change and shows that humans are part of the whole system of nature and not apart from it. Knowing this, Balog finds great hope that the fifth element, the human element, can bring the whole system back into balance.
