Hello <<First Name>>,

Thank you so much for coming to our little event at the Ford Foundation in May.  We’re hosting another one on Nov 13th. This one will be a bit different, so we would love to see you there again, but we’d also love it if you forward this on to any colleagues you think would be interested to ask them to join and RSVP.

Thanks,

Rebecca, Jo, and the Steves at The C4AA

ENCOURAGING AND ASSESSING
ARTISTIC ACTIVISM AND CREATIVE ADVOCACY

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH, 3:30-5:30PM
FORD FOUNDATION CENTER FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE
320 E 43RD ST, NEW YORK, NY 10017

Hosted by Center for Artistic Activism

and co-sponsored by the

Culture and Art Program and the Public Health Program

at Open Society Foundations

Please RSVP

Arts and culture are critical components of social and environmental justice work, but knowing how to deploy them for maximum impact is an art in itself. Join us for an informative, casual, conversation where the directors of the Center for Artistic Activism will share some of what they've learned in 10 years of practice with over 1500 artists and activists from around the world.

We'll discuss:

- Developing productive and creative relationships between artistic and activist communities.

- Encouraging experimentation in your grantees and designing RFPs that cultivate creative risk taking.

- Evaluating the success of creative activism, and collaborating with grantees in developing assessment strategies which strengthen thinking about intent and audience. Thus, making on-going project reflection more fruitful and outcomes more impactful.

The Center for Artistic Activism is dedicated to uniting and advancing the practices of art and activism. Now, in our tenth year, our focus is maximizing the efficacy of artists and the creativity of activists to better bring about social change. Through C4AA's research, mentoring, and training programs we make transformational connections between social justice activism and creative artistic practice.

Come join us! And please forward this to others that you think may be interested. They are welcome to attend but spaces are limited, so we encourage all to RSVP.
