Welcome to the September/October newsletter.. a place of FITNESSforward love and motivation! Where doing your best is encouraged and going after what makes your heart smile is applauded. Where caring for yourself on all levels is mandatory because your wellness reaches far beyond just your physical health. Where kindness matters and we clap for others because it's truly magical to see people being happy for people being happy. There's power in each of us focusing on and striving for the most positive version of ourselves. Making fitness a consistent and regular part of your life changes things on a foundational level. You become stronger. Stronger physically, stronger mentally and stronger emotionally. And a ripple effect happens.. people around you are more compelled to thrive when you do. The benefits are exponential. In this newsletter, we’ll tell you about upcoming changes and our plans to keep sharing the Zumba love!

She has brought inspiration, love, dedication, energy, gallons of sweat, encouragement and boatloads of badassery. We first met Angie in 2015 and not long after she took a chance and ventured down a path to become a stellar Zumba instructor and friend to us all. We've been lucky to become familiar with her big heart and be inspired by her tenacity, resilience and kindness. She has worked so very hard and I appreciate all the countless hours that she has spent learning, teaching, caring, and so much more. She deserves every happiness. And as she moves on from teaching Zumba with FITNESSforward, I know that anything she now chooses to turn her attention to will be the richer for it. Please join me in giving Angie lots of love and gratitude for all that she is. I love you girlfriend.

LETTER FROM ANGIE

To my Zumba family,

Lots of changes are on the horizon. I made the decision earlier in the year to enter into a 200 hour teacher training program to become a Baptiste Yoga Instructor. I absolutely love fitness and wanted to evolve to expand what I can offer as an instructor. I’ve been teaching my regular Zumba schedule while undertaking yoga training, as well as taking care of my family and exploring other new opportunities. I’ve come to the realization that I need to find more time in my schedule to dedicate to yoga training, as well as to my new ventures. It’s through tears that I’m announcing that as of September 28th, I will no longer be instructing classes with FITNESSforward. The last four years have been incredibly rewarding, heart warming and life changing. I value each person that I have connected with, and so many of you have become dear friends. I also have overwhelming gratitude for Roxanne, who has been the most amazing mentor to me. This is not goodbye, as I know we will stay connected in the community we have created. Please know that this decision was extremely difficult for me to make. I would love to have you come dance with me during my last week of teaching! My last class will be Friday, September 27th at 6:30 pm.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is one of the most common kinds of cancer in women after skin cancer. About 1 in 8 women born today in the U.S. will develop breast cancer at some point. The good news is that most women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early.
