Server
The following items are server-side changes, and will take effect for drivers running both older and updated versions of the app, or only affect the Platform Dashboard or Drive Axle Hub.
🔧 Once you upgrade to Geotab server version 1903, updates to shipments made by the Platform when manage_shipments is set to true are now visible immediately rather than after a delay of up to 15 minutes
🔧 The Hours of Service card will automatically be added to the top of a user's app dashboard if the Geotab integration is enabled for that user. If the Hours of Service card is already present on the user’s dashboard, no additional card will be added, and the position of the original card will not be changed. This ensures ELD rule compliance.
🐞 Fixed a crash that could occur when tapping into Trip Planner.
🐞 Fixed: When typing into a barcode form field, the focus remains in the field rather than dismissing the keyboard after each keypress.
🐞 Fixed: We eliminated several cases where account takeover for a Geotab driver would fail (due to deletion or being renamed from within MyGeotab) so that takeover will proceed normally and intervention by our support staff is no longer required.
iOS
🐞 Fixed: The map will now properly follow your finger when dragging in Trip Planner or route overview.
🐞 Resolved an issue where European-style truck restriction indicators might show briefly the first time Trip Planner was used.
Android
🔧 Reduced target rendering frame rate for turn-by-turn directions for lower-powered tablets, such as the Samsung Tab A, to help keep the device from becoming overloaded.
🔧 Increased the maximum amount of local storage space that can be used on the device for storing map data to 2GB, to prevent the same map areas from having to be repeatedly re-downloaded.
🐞 Eliminated several conditions that could lead to the turn-by-turn directions view locking up, freezing, or failing to update your position on the map.
🐞 Fixed a bug where a telephone-type field within a screen couldn’t be prefilled with a value
🐞 Fixed a case where a newly-sent message or action wouldn’t be delivered to the server immediately after being sent, and would be delayed until the next major action taken in the app, such as navigating between screens or leaving the app and returning.
🐞 Fixed an issue affecting devices with small screens when rotated to landscape where digits would be entered in reverse order while searching for a trailer using in Geotab.
